The SMG4 is designed to be easily integrated into your console or helm station and comes with a choice of sleek gauge bezels to match any vessel design or helm layout. It also works with a variety of fluid level sensors to display real-time fuel tank, livewell and freshwater water levels, as well as sea surface temperature. The SMG4 can even provide real-time vehicle speed data using a paddlewheel sensor or a Suzuki GPS Receiver Module that is available separately.
Suzuki’s advanced modular system includes two- and four-inch multi-function gauges that are engineered to display a wealth of real-time data directly from the engine via Suzuki’s SMIS Engine Interface, as well as a host of other sensors on board. This data is presented on a high-contrast, backlit LCD display that’s available in Day and Night mode settings.
The SMG4 provides an array of information on a compact 3.5 inch display including important information such as Engine RPM, Trip Hours and Trip Miles Travelled, Shift and Trim positions. In addition, the SMG4 provides a choice of analogue or digital presentation modes that are easily selected at the touch of a button.
If you’re a seasoned top-water angler, the SMG4’s Troll Mode Function can be very useful in finding and holding that trolling sweet spot. This feature allows you to control and set your engine rpm at the push of a button to optimize your lure performance, while still maintaining boat speed.
Another great feature is the ability to connect your smart phone and SMG4 together. Using the SDS Mobile app, you can display engine data on your smart phone screen while at the helm or docked and even email this information to a dealer for diagnostic purposes. This is a great feature for anyone who wants to keep an eye on their engine performance and use the SMG4 as a backup when they’re away from their boat.
